These monthly upliftments and empowerment sessions
held on the last friday of every month deal with many
of the concerns of the black communities in Britain.
BLAK FRIDAY takes place 7-10pm @ FAMILY HEALTH ISIS
(next to main Post Office) 183-185 Rushey Green, Catford,
SE6 4BB. |
|
The reasoning behind
these BLAK FRIDAY sessions is simple. 2007 was the
200th marker of the so-called abolition of the chattel-slave
trade and we knew that one bag of foolishness would
be suggested by many who do not have our best interests
at heart. Therefore we have, since January 2006, dealt
with the legacy of the MAAFA (Afrikan Holocaust) from
various perspectives as a way to provide practical
solutions to real problems. This means we do not deal
with victimhood or self pity, we are promoting empowerment
and upliftment.

We at Nu-Beyond wish to thank all who have supported
our B.L.A.K. FRIDAY initiative, as your vibes and
input have ensured that we can continue to provide
these uplifting sessions. A special thank you goes
out to the staff at FAMILY HEALTH ISIS and SIMBA for
kindly hosting our sessions in the spirit of upliftment
and empowerment. HOTEP!
One love, peace and blessings to you all.
